In USA, NGC already had a reputation for being rational and anti-sensetionalizzation, so Discovery took the path of sensetionalization, and aired programs on 'real' ghosts. 'Rational', in some way or the other, would definitely be anti-religion and anti-populist belief. It may so happen that NGC, being and 'outsider' in India, doesn't want to take that stand, and show Twinkle-type programs. Most of the channels broadcast programs based on the ratings.
